| Upcoming Dog Wash! August 4th |
Mark your paws on the calendar for Saturday August 4th! From 9:00AM to 2:00PM Countryside Humane Society staff and volunteers will be providing your pooch with pampering and paw pedicure perfection!
We hope to see you at our next annual dog wash held at Havahart pets located at 6500 Washington Avenue in Racine. All proceeds will go toward the Medical Emergency Fund.

| Corriehart ADOPTED! |
 We would like to thank everyone for all their love and interest shown regarding Corriehart.
We are very excited to announce that Corrie has found her forever home. Corriehart Adopted: April 26th, 2012
To all those involved in her care thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To the many veterinarians, staff, volunteers, and community--the world is a better place because of your love. Thank you so much to the Ayers family for having huge hearts and giving a special dog the home she deserves.

| The Adopt-a-thon Is Fast Approaching! |
 Photo Credit: (Tina Phillips)The date for the next Adopt-a-thon is fast approaching! Mark your paws on the calendar and please join us again for the adopt-a-thon! The dates scheduled for the next upcoming adopt-a-thon are: - Friday May 4th and Saturday May 5th!
- Hours: 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
Please have all credentials prepared in order to take home an adoptable animal the same day. Vaccinations for current animals, and all residents in the potential household must visit with the animal. Any questions please call the office at 262-554-6699!Checklist: - Vaccination Records

| Emergency Medical Fund |
 The photo to the left is of a black Labrador retriever female estimated to be approximately one year old found stray on Monday April 9th at 6:30AM currently being called Corriehart. She is in care at Countryside Humane Society.
Energetic, happy-go-lucky, and full of love Corriehart poses for photos with staff, stealing a kiss when the photographer gets in close. You wouldn’t know it from this photo, but Corriehart has just undergone major surgery for a humeral fracture.
Believed to have been hit by a car on Monday, in a delicate condition, Corriehart entered surgery Tuesday lasting for over 4 hours and totaling over $3000.00 in medical expenses. One plate, a bunch of wire, and eight screws were used in the surgery to correct her injuries.
The funding for her extensive surgery came from the Stray Emergency Medical Fund. This program, provided by Countryside Humane Society, is used for stray animals found in Racine County that require emergency medical assistance.
 With help from Racine Veterinary and the Animal Emergency of Racine Corriehart is now in recovery, a six to eight week process. We are currently looking for an owner.
